Explosion Boxes

I have always had a fascination with explosion boxes so when I saw Scrappin With My Bug's explosion box, I had to have the directions to make it. They came in just in time and I made the one that came with her directions (didn't take pictures of that one as its on her blog) and then created 2 of my own. One for my boss because she survived giving up sweets for Lent (and she's not even Catholic) and the other for a really good friend's birthday. They both just loved them. Now to finish the one I am working on for my mom and step-grandma :-)

This is the one for my friend, her favorite color is green:

More Cards

I was playing with my Betsy Bluebell Stamps that I just had to have because of Okie and I tried to use markers, but gave up and went back to my color pencils because that's what works best for me, and of course my ink pads to ink stuff :-).

Isn't she adorable?

The cuts are from Wall Decor and More, the butterflies are cut at 1.5" and the Hello is cut at 1".
I inked the butterflies with Brilliance Starlite Silver, Pearlescent Purple, & Pearlescent Lavender. Hello was inked with Brilliance Platinum Planet and Pearlescent Orchid. The background paper is from DCWV Pocket Full of Posies

These were two simple birthday cards I did using Lacy Labels (love this cartridge). The Its Your Birthday came from Create A Critter and was inked using Brilliance Pearlescent Purple.

This was a fun card I did for a friends cousin who had surgery last week who made the comment about feeling like Frankenstein :-)

Mrs. Frankenstein is from Paper Doll Dress Up, Smile is from Create A Critter and off course the embossing was done with the fleur-di-lis folder. I also used a larger gem and adhered it with my IRock. Her hair is highlighted using a Sakura purple glitter pen (love my Sakura pens), oh and her eyes are colored in white using the Signo white pen, another item I just had to have because of Okie :-)

Some Cards

Okay so I am procrastinating in playing with the markers, but I did make some cards this weekend :-).

The first one is for my Great Uncle, not sure how old he is this year, just know that he is one of my favorites :-).

The recipe for this card is:
Mad Hatter 5" (Disney Classics Cartridge)
Happy Birthday 1.51" Height (crap, can't remember sorry)
Embossed using the squares embossing folder
Outlined squares using clear star glitter pen

This one is for a friends daughter who just had a birthday, have to send her an e-mail so I can get her new address :-)

Recipe for this one is:

Happy Birthday 3" Width

All other cuts from Paper Doll Dress UP

Castle 4" - Created the "Blackout" using my gypsy
Doll cut at 1" along with all clothes
face is hand drawn and actually isn't to scary since I did it myself :-)

That's it for now, I have two more, but can't post them just yet. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Grandson's First Birthday

Okay I can admit it, my grandson is the center of my little world, ever since he started talking and said Grandma for the first time he can have anything he wants, think he knows that to. Can't wait to see the little bugger again. He will be 3 this year and I have a feeling we will be having a Buzz Lightyear theme, but won't know for sure for a few months.

Okay back on topic, just miss the little guy so much, for his 1st birthday Darling Daughter decided on Mickey Mouse as his favorite show at the time was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She used to send me these cute little videos of him dancing along with the show.... Okay so here is what I made:

This is a center piece bucket. I like to do my pics double sided so that you see something from both sides just because I like the way it looks. I also made a stick the lolly on Goofy game and a banner, but can't seem to locate the pictures for those at the moment. With my luck they are on the hard drive that crashed. Anyway, this was alot of fun and I have done several others since.

Here is a picture of another one I did, this one was for my boss (she still has it in her office too):

Okay think that's it for tonight going to go work on some cards now :-)

Stuff for Grandson

These were a few things I made for my grandson, okay for my daughter before darling grandson was born in 2008. The letters I got at Hobby Lobby and the birth announcements I made with out the cricut because I was still slightly intimidated at that time by her :-).

Would also like to note that this was before I figured out how to make a light box as I never figured I would show my stuff to anyone :-)

Tinkerbell Card

Going to be posting some older projects just so I have record of them some where other than my memory :-). This is a card I made for one of my nieces who loves Tinkerbell its one of those step cards which I fell in love with. For this particular one, wasn't sure which Tinkerbell's I wanted to use so I cut them all at 3". Yes, I know that is absolutely insane and the pieces are tiny....are we finally figuring out how I came about my screen name now :-)

This was from January 2009
